Journal Entry #3
The Baudelaire orphans wake up the next morning to someone banging pots. While they were in the bedroom, Foreman Flacutono came into the room and dropped his pots on the floor. He ordered the Baudelaire orphans to pick up the pots or they wouldn't get gum for lunch. They went to the kitchen and had there breakfast. After, they went to the mill and looked curiously at the machines that they would have to use to do their work in the mill. Foreman Flacutono began to yell orders to the orphans to begin their work with the huge logs. A worker pressed an orange button and suddenly a big tree fell into the machine. The orphans were in charge of the debarker machine, which takes the bark off of the trees. The orphans were given rectangular metal pieces that they would use to take off the bark that the machine did not remove. The orphans did not know how to use the tool to take the bark off. Foreman Flacutono started to yell and scream orders to the orphans, but they didn't understand.
